Nice day

What a great day today was. Last night was up several times. I'm thinking it was teeth because she was fine today. Not even cranky! Now me on the other hand around 10am was feeling REALLY sleepy. I blame that on the gym at 5:30 after only a few hrs of sleep. Who knows what it would take for me to really think I should just skip the class!!?? So at 10:30am I told Kori mama was tired and that I'd be joining her for nap today. I said let me know when your ready(hoping it could be like 2 hrs sooner than normal) lol!! Like 10 min. later she said "I'm gonna hop on in" meaning bed. She is so sweet that I don't even have the words to explain! After nap we ate and believe it or not went and looked again at patio furniture. Then Ulta which she loves that store. Thought we'd do that one before school let out because Austin would be asking to wait outside! We picked up Austin and then went across the street to walk around the cemetery. My kids love doing that! I must admit I like it to even though I've read all the stones several times. They chased grasshoppers. To cute!

Hard worker

Monday was great as they all are! Kori gets to spend a lot of time with daddy getting much more dirty than on her days only with me. They were busy digging trying to get the dirt ready for a garden. Yummy! I got to go and relax a bit alone getting my pedicure Corey set up for me. Much needed. We also shopped some more for patio furniture. I insist on whatever we may buy that I check out every store to make sure its the best deal. Sometimes twice!! But Corey loves my bargain shopping so he didn't mind looking once again.

Lazy day

It was such a great Saturday for being so cold out. Corey had to work of course but Austin and Kori and I decided to wear pj's and stay in for the day! If felt so cozy. I had considered a fire on this cold April day but realized I had just cleaned out the fireplace a few weeks ago! In the afternoon Kori was asking Austin for some bathtub fun so the great brother he is he filled up his tub and threw his trunks on!

This morning we met Eva, Avery, Kendall at he mall to play and then rushed home to meet my friend Ingrids baby. Kori was very excited about this!! She wanted to hold her right away and Ingrid was fine with that so there is a pic of a great one day mommy to be! The baby was precious and I did not want her to go! I could had held her all day. Did it make me want another one???? Of course!

No Worries

It is definitely not like me anymore to worry or to think to far ahead of today. That's why I was so surprised this morning with my thought when Austin got out of the car at school. He's fourth grade and I was thinking I do not want elementary school to end!! Junior High??? No! Kori yelled out "bye Audi" and it hit me- she will be saying that to me one day as she shuts the car door! I was in tears. I can imagine the support from Corey I will need that day! I call Corey on my short ride home from drop off trying to tell him how I'm feeling. What is his response??? He says "why are you thinking about something three years away"? Just what I knew my he would say!! Loved his answer. One of the many reasons I'm in love with my husband. Always puts me into reality!!

home baby check

Monday funday we decided we would give Kori her 2yr "well check". She is doing so well! With all my trips to the park lately and visiting with other moms these percentages from growth charts seem to come up so I printed me one. We first measured our baby girl and then weighed her. She was 27 pounds on the dot and a small hair shy of 341/2 in. We then looked at our chart and looked at Kori and said you look very well!! Now when I'm asked at the park if she is tall I know they are referring to the chart and I have a clue now. Before I had to answer with if there were perfection she would be just that! When I printed the chart I seen another well check is due at 4 yrs but we may give her one sooner as she thought it was a great time!

Love

What I realized this past week with Austin being home is just how much Kori loves, trusts, and depends on Austin. Austin can be so frustrated with her but then is so heartbroken if she is upset or in trouble!! He runs to her rescue! Just yesterday I was waxing a friend here at the house and they were being so quiet, I went to check and here came Kori walking out in a towel! Austin was upstairs giving her a quick bathe because he said she got dirty out in the sandbox.

This is what happens when it's time to check out! Now I so happen to have my camera because we had just left Ripley's Believe it or Not which I will post pics of that later. It was alot of fun, they had added an attraction since we had been last which was the Mirror Maze. Austin was the leader so we didn't get to lost. We also decided to make a visit to Pure Bliss Yogurt. Yummmmmmmmmmm! Of course Kori said no mama. lol

Believing And Trusting

I just wanted to write a message about Corey really teaching me to trust in the Lord. He has taught me so much without him knowing. I have been thinking about this quite a bit these past few weeks. It has made me think about how differ believing in God and trusting in Him are. Very thankful I am that God has shown me this through Corey! (I couldn't imagine it any other way)!!
Monday Funday was a great day today! The weather was super. After alot of playing today Corey suggested a bike ride to the park. After spin class early this morning I knew it would feel rough, and it did! But was well worth it when Kori seen the park and was sooo excited!

Hair nite

Tonight was my hair appointment! Ya! So right away Kori Jade got out her little stool and said she was getting her hair done! Well first let me explain that she does have on her new bathing suit. I bought it at Target today and she needed to put it on right away. Corey put a few foils in Kori's hair(of course no color)! I thought foils and a bathing suit- how cute! Of course I told Corey she better be the only client wearing a bathing suit!! lol

Mall Play

Being that it's cold again I thought we better get out and play today. I was excited when I thought about what we could do and realized its my friend Eva's day off. I thought how much funner it would be if her and her girls could meet us at the mall. Luckily she said her and Kendall would be there! The picture shows how sweet our little girls are! They are both 2 and too cute! Thanks Eva for a fun morning!

More bread!

Yes we made banana bread again! Really had lots of bananas this week! Kori has had so much fun cooking and baking so far this week. She loves it! The first pic is my mixer that I've had sine Nov. I love it! I had looked at stand up mixers for a long time but had eventually realized it was never going to feel like I had $100 or more to spend on that. So like anything else I thought oh yea I better check Craigs List! Well there was my mixer- A 1956 model for $30. Works perfect and I have fallen in love with it!

Monday funday

Monday funday! Monday has always been a fun day of the week for Corey and I. When we met(both working in a salon and spa) that was our day off together. Austin is in school of course on monday's and since Kori Jade came she gets to be a part of monday funday. Here is my Corey's(corey and kori)just relaxing. She looked so cozy and peaceful napping on daddy. I don't blame her!

Banana bread

MMMMMMM.... Banana bread! This is Kori's first time to lick! She thoght is was fun and yummy. I told her it will be like what the bread taste like since she has never tried it. Now that she is 2 I am semi- open to the idea of her trying things like this- of course if I made it and know whats in it!! lol So an hour later when bread was ready she said no! I said just try a bite and she did and in record time took it out and put it in thr trash! Oh well- as Austin would say more for me!

Chicken Pot Pie

This is what we had for dinner Sat. nite. I thought I'd take a pic because it looked so beautiful! Chicken pot pie is my family's favorite thing for me to make. It's sooo good so if you see this and want the recipe for you to make for your wonderful family just let me know. Anyway to my suprise Corey has done alot of cleaning and jobs around the house that needed done today. Could it be he was just so satisfied from the chicken pot pie?????? Should I make one every day? Corey stayed home w/ the kids while I went to church alone today. One of us needed to stay home w/ Austin since he's not completely well yet. When I got home the whole kitchen was clean from my BIG pancake mess! He's been busy every since! Thanks daddy and you shall be rewarded!

feeling down

Austin is home from school today. He's had a cough and a hard time breathing this week but he insists on making it to school everyday. Could this really be my child?? I would have never opposed a day of staying home! This was a pic of him in his room this morning when I went to check on him. He loves playing his g.i joes. He plays them everyday after school and alot on the weekends. I am going to miss this play one day and I hope its still a few yrs away. I'm hoping he feels better today but I must admit its nice having him home!!

Quiet day

A few weeks ago at Shelton's where Corey works there was a photo contest where employee's kid pics were all posted on a board and when clients checked out they voted for their favorite pic. I think you may know where this is going..... Kori's picture won! Ya! Prize was a gift card to Toys R Us. It being a quiet day today Kori and I got up and went to the toy store. You see what we got! She LOVES it! Her idea to wear the helmet. Good job Kori. We are big on helemets at our house but I didn't even think of it for this. Corey was like lets never discourage her wearing her helmet! He always jokes we can look like the overprotective parents in our 50's. (I think we really are though)!

My 3 loves

It's always an exciting day when Corey has time to come home for a quick lunch to see us girls!! I know I talk his ear off! To bad he didn't come home a few hours earlier when Kori Jade was requesting a blow dry after her bath! Being that I couldn't turn down such a request I got the blow dryer out- a bit scared since its been yrs since I've attempted to dry some hairs! Looking at her I thought how hard could it be?? Turned out great and she gave a big smile. Well Corey got home for lunch and 15 min after nurse Jennifer calls from school and said Austin was feeling down. He woke up not looking to great but he insisted he not miss the big test today. As you can see Kori said she needs to lay with Austin. I totally trust that she will take great care of him! Also big thanks to Dr. Eva for immediately adjusting him! Your the best!

Time for adjusting

It's Monday so time for our adjustments! Kori LOVES them and does so well. So glad I started the blog because I needed pics of this since she looks so cute getting hers. Of course there is Dr.Eva(very cute to)! She is such a big part in keeping my family well. So thankful God put her in my life!

Inside camp site

Here we are making smores in our living room! After Austin's disappointment all weekend because of it being cold out and me not wanting to make these outside this seemed like the only choice! We all really over did it though! (good thing they were all organic, right)????
